“Greek Rest Cézanne Landscape”

Je passe à la grande peinture 60 à 100 cm dèjà le 29 Avril et jusqu’à la fin des beaux jours où je peux peindre sur ma petite terrasse… Je varie le thème de la Victoire du Peuple Grec avec des sous-thèmes, Jeux Olympiques (symbole de l’argent gaspillé), peuples d’autres pays confrontés à l’oligarchie (Espagne avec Dali, Amérique Latine avec Che…), Luttes plutôt que victoire (lié à l’actualité: l’Espagne). Mais je garde le même style surréaliste en mêlant une multitude d’époque, de styles, de personnages et de paysages (peinture grecque antique sur vase, peinture médievale avec Bosch, les peintres Hollandais etc., peinture de paysage avec Cézanne (retour au thème de l’automne dernier), photos des pays concernés (retour au thème de cet hiver), peinture d’autres peintres etc.)

C’est le moment de laisser les Grecs à leur nouveau passage vers une Europe moins destructrice, où ils ont fait leur choix pour un Parti de gauche indigné devant la Troïka Européenne, pour s’intéresser à une autre lutte qui dure depuis plusieurs mois, un peu comme en Grèce, initiée par la jeunesse du pays… celle du Québek! Ce sera ma nouvelle Série de soutien à un peuple qui résiste, le peuple Canadien. Parce que peindre c’est aussi Résister avec ceux qui refusent les plans injustes et la corruption.

The New Exhibition in June, starting 7th of June: “F*A*K*E* or The Last Glittering Dreams”; with big paintings every week (20-50 hours of workart each) a large format (i.e.100 x 70 cm ) where I put a maximum of details of dreams… for instance about the surrealist dreams of actors or personalities (Adrien Brody, Hugh Dancy…) starting sometimes from a fake nude photo of them…will be the time to give up with Greek People and their fight against the European Troika, and a sort of victory since they succeed to reject the unfear politics of Merkel and ex-Sarkozy, then to interest myself and yourself with a new fight, born a few months ago on the other side of Atlantic Ocean: Canada with Québek. It will be the topics of my New Series starting 7th of June: the Resistance against corruption and unfairness of government. Because painting is also resisting!

But first this big painting called “Greek Rest in Cezanne Landscape…”

Starting of my new Exhibition: “F*A*K*E* or the Neo-Liberalism Glittering Last Dream” 6 June - 10 September 2012…

Starting of my new exhibition during this summer (from 6 June to 10 September) about the glittering rotten neo-liberalism and its last lights, the last bubble of this ideology that threatens the planet right now at all levels: with the POLITICS disappearance of democracy such as the requirement by Europe to redo the election in Greece for financial reasons and not democratic reasons! ECOLOGY with the growing menace of Ultra-Liberal decomposition system where any action is permitted even action which irremediably destroy earth ; for example: despite the populism of Korrea in Ecuador, the population pushes his chief to operate oil drillings in Amazon rainforest destroying an heritage that has survived the Ice Age! it is therefore still in the ultra-liberalism despite its ”redish” glittering (we can see that neo-communist creeps into the groove of the more extreme nowaday liberalism) because the money pushes even the apparently bravest (but above all populist) persons to sacrifice our planete for Money King… HUMAN with the risk of oligarchy class’s choice of sarting a war as a last resort to the failure of globalization since they can no longer hope that the poor will give themselves more money, they push them to war …

Top départ de ma nouvelle expo pour cet été du 6 Juin au 10 Septembre sur les paillettes pourries du néo-libéralisme, leur derniers éclats, la dernière bulle de cette idéologie qui dangereusement menace la planète en ce moment à tous les niveaux: POLITIQUE avec la disparition de la démocratie par exemple l’obligation de refaire des éléctions en Grèce pour des raisons financières et non plus démocratiques! ECOLOGIQUE avec la menace toujours plus grande du sytème ultra-libéral où toute action est permise donc même celles qui détruisent irremédiablement la nature par exemple: malgré le populisme de Korea en Equateur, la population pousse son chef d’état à exploiter la forêt Amazonienne en faisant périr un patrimoine qui a résisté à la période glacière! cela s’inscrit donc encore dans l’ultra-libéralisme malgré des paillettes “rouges” (le néo-communisme s’insinue dans les sillon du libéralisme le plus extrême) puisque l’argent pousse même les plus courageux chef d’état à sacrifier la planète… HUMAIN avec le risque du choix des classes oligarchiques de l’entrée en guerre en dernier recours à l’échec de la globalisation puisqu’ils ne peuvent plus espérer des pauvres toujours plus d’argent, ils les poussent à la guerre…

Mykonos Requiem in Greek People Victory

“Gambling in Greek People Victory”

This is one of the two last small paintings of the Series Greek People Victory, initiated the 16th of March 2012 till the 6th of June. In this painting you can see some Hieronymus Bosch medieval characters gambling while a King (from a medieval painting too) is riding his horse, coming from the left. A Salvador Dali woman on a tall elephant and a landscape of Greece with a naked man sit on the ground in front of the sea.

Olympic Games: Je veux exploser plutôt qu’explorer ce thème!

17 Avril : Je mixe finalement les JO qui font partie de la satyre de l’argent et du jeu injuste de la troïka européenne. Les JO deviennent symbole de l’argent gaspillé et du fossé riche-pauvre qui se creuse… En plus je continue de mêler Dali et la peinture médiévale que j’adore ainsi que la peinture grecque ancienne et des photos sur la Grèce Bientôt: les scène de protestations / batailles de rue…

16 avril j’abandonne ce projet JO trop commercial et me cantonne à la Grèce…

100 jours avant les Jeux Olympiques, lancé par Adonis Art, je vais peindre 100 tableaux pour les JO… Jusqu’au 1er Juillet, 50 à 70 que j’enverrai à A.A. puis 30 à 50 “interdit (voir les Conditions”) très sexe, censurés… Car je veux recommencer à peindre 2 à 4 peintures par jours comme avant…

La peinture travaillée est agréable et en 2 jours elle n’est pas si travaillée que ça. Mais la vitesse, la spontanéité me manque.

Je pourrai ensuite proposer les rebus sur le net ou bien les recycler.

15 Avril - 6 Juin : 7 semaines de peintures sur la Grèce. Environ 20 tableaux travaillés encore…

Pourquoi pas mêler aussi peintures du Moyen-Age, Surréalisme de Dali, peinture grecque, Alexandre le Grand etc aux J ?

Je vais pouvoir voir quelles seront et s’il y aura des peintures retenues par A.A. ? Si je parviens à peindre 100 tableaux sur ce thème avec du 5 Juin au 6 Août 30 - 50 de JO très sexe, innacceptable donc non envoyé ? à A.A.

Je veux exploser plutôt qu’explorer ce thème!

There will be no prize, but viewers will be able to vote for their favourite. It will be an honour for any artist to be included and the Adonis Art Gallery is proud to host this event to coincide with the London Olympic Games.

THE ADONIS ART OLYMPIC CHALLENGE IS AN ACCUMMULATING EXHIBITION – ARTWORK WILL BE ADDED AS IT IS SELECTED, STARTING FROM THE FIRST ENTRYS RECEIVED AND BUILDING RIGHT UP TO AND INCLUDING THE GAMES THEMSELVES. THIS IS AN EXCITING PROJECT FOR THE WORLD OF MALE ART.

To enter:

1) You many enter one or more pieces of male art

2) Each piece must have an Olympic or a sporting theme

3) Send a high resolution jpeg to stewart@adonis-art.com

4) Send the name of the artist

5) Send the nationality of the artist

6) Send the title of the work

7) Send the medium of the work (oil painting/watercolour etc)

8) Send the dimensions of the work (in centimetres please)

9) Send the selling price of the work - including a 25% commission for the Adonis Art Gallery AND include shipping costs

10) ENTRY IS FREE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1) The artist must provide high resolution images of his artwork by e-mail to stewart@adonis-art.com.These can be submitted anytime up to and including the dates of the games themselves;

2) The artist must own the copyright of the work he submits for consideration; he must use his name and indicate his country;

3) The artwork submitted can be painting, drawing, sculpture or photography;

4) The artist can submit as many works as he/she likes as long as they are relevant to the male Olympics theme;

5) The artist must provide the title, medium, date and dimensions of any artwork and whether it is signed or framed;

6) The artwork does not have to be specially created for the Adonis Art Olympic Exhibition, but must have the theme of male sporting activity;

7) The artwork must depict male athletes in action or preparation for the Olympic Games. This can be interpreted in the widest way (e.g. a runner could be depicted on an early morning training run; or winning a local race, or showering after his heat, or relaxing with other male athletes, or standing on the podium). The artwork can be set in the present day or during the times of the ancient Olympics; it can depict athletes in any country of the world. Any sport performed at the Olympics can be depicted, including athletics, swimming, boxing etc. The athletes can be real or imaginary and the figures can be nude or non-nude (but for this exhibition, although the beauty and sensuality of the male farm can be portrayed, sexual arousal and/or sexual activity or display are NOT acceptable.)

8) There is no fee to enter this exhibition;

9) The artwork must be offered for sale through the Adonis Art Gallery website. Please indicate a price in British pounds or US dollars. If the artwork is sold from the Adonis Art website, then the Adonis Art Gallery will take a 25% commission. (It will be the responsibility of the artist to ship his work to purchasers, so please include an element to cover shipping costs in the price). BE REALISTIC IN PRICING YOUR WORK;

10) Any artwork accepted for the exhibition may be used in promotional material either online or in print. The artist will always be accredited whenever his/her work is used for promotion.

11) The decision or accept or reject any work for this exhibition is the sole decision of the proprietor and staff of the Adonis Art Gallery. No reason will be provided if work is rejected.
